Shogun is the fourth studio album by American metal band Trivium. It is planned for release on September 30, 2008 by LO-MAX Records in Argentina and Peru and Roadrunner Records for the rest of the world. Work on the album is noted to have begun with producer Nick Raskulinecz in October 2007,[1] with the band stating that they chose not to work with Jason Suecof again due to the fact that they wanted to explore new ideas

The emperor chooses the shogun.Shogun was not the king nor the emperor but given this rank by Tenno, Japanese emperor. Shogun means general in the Japanese language. Its formal name was Seii Taishogun (Great General who fights against the Eastern savages and will win)
